The University ranked first among Yemeni universities in five prestigious international rankings: UniRank, Eduniversal, Eduniversal Best Masters, Round University Ranking (RUR), and Higher Education Ranking (HERanking). It also demonstrated a distinguished presence in other influential academic and research-based rankings, including the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, the Arab Ranking of Universities, and the AD Scientific Index.
This progress serves as an important indicator of the University’s institutional, academic, and research development. It reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance quality, develop the teaching and learning environment, strengthen its international visibility, and adhere to globally recognized standards of academic competitiveness. These results also reaffirm the University’s position as one of the most visible Yemeni higher education institutions in international ranking platforms and its ability to represent Yemen in prestigious academic forums.
In the UniRank 2026 Ranking, Queen Arwa University achieved first place in the Republic of Yemen, ranked 21st among Arabic-speaking universities, and 1,896th globally. This reflects the strength of its institutional and digital presence, as well as its position among Arab and international universities.
In the Eduniversal Ranking, the University, represented by the College of Economics and Administrative Sciences, maintained its advanced standing as the first and only Yemeni university continuously listed in this ranking since 2010. It achieved first place nationally, received 1 Palme of Excellence, and obtained a Deans’ Recommendation Score of 103‰, reflecting its presence in the fields of business administration and administrative sciences.
The University also strengthened its standing in the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking, where it stood out as the first and only Yemeni university ranked in this field. It achieved 10th place in the Middle East and Eurasia within its specialization, with one specialized master’s program included in the ranking. This achievement enhances the regional competitiveness of the University’s postgraduate programs.
In the Round University Ranking (RUR), Queen Arwa University recorded a remarkable presence as the first and only Yemeni university listed in this ranking. It achieved first place in Yemen, ranked 1,180th globally, and obtained an overall score of 26.016. The University was also evaluated across the ranking’s main indicators, including teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the institutional assessment it underwent.
As for the Higher Education Ranking (HERanking), the University achieved first place in the Republic of Yemen and ranked 138th globally, with a total of 6,723 points. This accomplishment reflects an advanced level of performance in indicators related to academic quality, institutional presence, and impact.
In global rankings with a developmental dimension, Queen Arwa University continued its presence in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, where it was placed within the global band of 1001–1500. This presence is particularly significant, considering that the University was among the first Yemeni universities to appear on Times Higher Education platforms and rankings, thereby contributing to strengthening Yemen’s visibility in the database of this global ranking.
In the Arab Ranking of Universities, issued by the relevant Arab academic bodies, the University achieved advanced national positions. It ranked fifth among all Yemeni public and private universities, third among Yemeni private universities, and second among private universities in the capital, Sana’a. These results reflect its growing presence within the Arab higher education landscape.
The results of the AD Scientific Index also demonstrated progress in the University’s research performance. Queen Arwa University ranked 5,932nd globally and 2,609th in Asia. It also achieved eighth place among all Yemeni public and private universities and second place among private universities in Sana’a, based on research indicators, citations, and research impact metrics.
