Queen Arwa University Celebrates the Prophet’s Birthday 1446 AH Under the Theme "Mercy to the Worlds"
Queen Arwa University organized a celebratory event for the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday 1446 AH on Wednesday, 01 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 4, 2024, under the theme "Mercy to the Worlds."
During the event, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Khayyat, President of the University, highlighted the significance of this occasion for Muslims, especially Yemenis, emphasizing the divine blessing of the Prophet’s mission as a mercy to all humanity. He stressed that the celebration should be reflected in daily behavior, values, and ethics within official and non-official institutions, drawing lessons from the Prophet’s life in various social, political, intellectual, military, and leadership aspects.
Prof. Dr. Sadiq Al-Sharaji, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Sector, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet’s Birthday as a reminder of his noble character, virtues, and the historical connection Yemenis have maintained with his mission. He noted that this occasion is an opportunity to renew loyalty and love for God and His Messenger, and to embody this love in word and deed across all fields of life.
The event included speeches, a poetic tribute to the Prophet, and songs that were well received by the audience.
The event was attended by Dr. Ghassan Ali Hashem, Vice President of the University, along with deans, department heads, faculty members, and officials from the Ministry, including Abdul Karim Al-Dahhak, Director General of Student Activities, and Yahya Al-Dhaani, Director General of Media, as well as a large number of students.
