About the Faculty of Medical Sciences

The Faculty of Medical Sciences was founded in 2004/2003 to cope up with the latest scientific developments in the field of medical sciences, including human medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, laboratories and therapeutic nutrition, to create a generation of physicians and pharmacists capable of working in this vital field and to prepare an integrated health team of physicians, dentists, pharmacists and laboratory technicians to meet the needs of labor market in Yemen and the world.

The Faculty of Medical Sciences is dedicated to modernizing competing academic programs in the field of medical sciences, theoretically and clinically and focusing on the scientific research, working in a team spirit to improve the health of the local community.

• Developing the educational and training structure in accordance with the guidelines and standards of the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance
• Introducing new competitive and labor market-responsive programs
• Preparing and training a specialized medical staff
• Providing students with self-learning skills (theoretical and practically)
• Assimilating a cadre of teaching and technicians who are cognitively and professionally qualified.
• Developing the capacities of teaching and technical staff through specialized qualification programs, according to quality and governance standards
