Queen Arwa University Pharmacy Students Visit "Pharma Care International" Factory to Enhance Practical Skills
Under the patronage of Dr. Ghassan Ali Hashem, Vice President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Lutfi Al-Rahbi, Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, and Ms. Maryam Abdul Hakim, General Registrar and Acting Dean of Student Affairs, fifth-level pharmacy students from Queen Arwa University carried out a field visit to pharmaceutical factories.
The fifth-level pharmacy students (Group Two) visited the "Pharma Care International" factory on Monday, September 16, 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Abduh Al-Saadi, accompanied by Ms. Fatima Mayad.
These visits aim to elevate the scientific and practical level of pharmacy students by familiarizing them with local pharmaceutical factories, their products, various manufacturing methods, and quality assurance measures that adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. The goal is to hone students' skills and prepare them for the job market.
The students received a warm welcome from the factory’s management, led by Dr. Nabil Al-Sharaf and Dr. Walid Fareh, along with several staff members. After an initial briefing about the factory, the students were divided into groups to tour the different departments, accompanied by specialized staff who provided detailed explanations of each section and the various analytical methods used.
During the visit, students were introduced to the processes followed in the factory, starting from the import, inspection, and storage of raw materials, through production and packaging lines, quality assurance laboratories, research and development, and finally, the storage warehouses.
