Student Suhail Al-Farah from Queen Arwa University Wins the Third Yemeni Universities Swimming Championship
Student Suhail Ammar Al-Farah from Queen Arwa University was crowned champion of the Third Swimming Championship for Yemeni Governmental and Private Universities, organized by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research on Monday, 20 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 23, 2024. The event was held under the patronage of Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al-Saadi, Minister of Education and Scientific Research, with the attendance of Dr. Ghassan Ali Hashem, Vice President and Secretary-General of Queen Arwa University.
Queen Arwa University’s participation was part of the competitive project encompassing scientific, cultural, and sports competitions organized by the ministry, coinciding with the commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday and the September celebrations. A total of 120 swimmers from 24 governmental and private universities competed in the championship.
Suhail Al-Farah excelled in the 50-meter professional category, securing first place and winning both the championship trophy and the gold medal. The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, the General Union of Swimming in the Capital Secretariat, and representatives from both governmental and private universities.
