Queen Arwa University leads Yemeni private universities according to the latest rankings Webometrics World
Queen Arwa University continues to export it to Yemeni universities, according to the latest international rankings. It maintains its top list of Yemen's governmental and private universities, achieving many achievements and advanced centers within the international rankings of universities and educational institutions around the world. Since the beginning of 2022, UNU has been competing at the first levels locally and progressing to internationally accepted levels and outcomes. In addition to the University's achievements; Queen Arwa University, ranked first among Yemen's private universities in Sana 'a and ninth among Yemeni universities in general, while Sana' a University led public universities, according to the latest ranking of Webometric World Website for 2023.
In a comment by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, A. Dr. Wahiba Ghalib Farah on this achievement "Our steps in rooting and working hard to achieve educational values is the path to success"
For its part, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to all the University's members and professors at this level and appreciate all efforts made by all.
In the same vein, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ghassan Ali Hashim stressed the need to maintain this level, benefiting from the experiences of others. He also noted the efforts made by the data lifters, which had paid off in this classification and congratulated the University's academic and administrative staff.
Last year, Queen Arwa University received a competitive ranking, advanced at the level of Yemeni universities, in the Spanish International Evaluation of Accredited Universities around the World (Webometrics Ranking of World Universities), which ranked the University in the following levels and arrangements:
Rank (2) at the level of Yemeni private universities.
Rank (9) at the level of Yemen's public and private universities.
Ranking (452) at the level of Arab universities.
Ranking (8802) at the level of the world's universities.
Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is the world's largest university assessment system, covering more than 20,000 universities and publishing 16,000 of them. Issued in Spain by the High Council for Scientific Research.
The evaluation aims to improve the presence of institutions of higher education and scientific research on the Internet and to encourage the publication of well-founded scientific articles in an open-access manner.
It is a biannual evaluation, issued in January and July each year, and relies on measuring universities' performance through their websites among the following criteria (size - reference to research - public impact).
Evaluation criteria for WebometricX
Location size: means the size of a set of pages automatically linked to a single site and the standard ratio of 20%.
Rich files: that is, files for documents and text information, where the number of files of different types that are in the search engine and belong to the university site and the ratio of this standard is 15%.
Google Scientists: It is intended to search for scientific material in Google Scholar, including refereed research, reports, letters and summaries in various scientific subjects, as well as images, films, maps and others published electronically under the scope of the university's website. The standard is also 15%
Links and Visibility: The hyperlinks that lead the visitor to the website, via search engines and the appearance of the university's website with these engines, are 50%.
